His coaching skills and experience will enhance our basketball program and challenge our student-athletes.”

“I am looking forward to the chance to build a program and see young women come to Asbury College and develop spiritually, academically and athletically,” Flener said.

Flener received his Rank I in administration from Western Kentucky University, M.Ed. from Georgia College and State University and B.A. from the University of Kentucky. He is currently the district instructional coordinator and assistant principal at the Jessamine Career and Technology Center in the Jessamine County School System and coordinates numerous youth basketball camps.
