Former Rose Hill star and UK recruit Dakotah Euton has been ruled ineligible to play basketball at Scott County High School, this according to documents sent to the school by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association.
Officials at the school said Tuesday that it had received a letter stating that the 6'8" junior-to-be had met "none of the requirements" as outlined in Bylaw 6 (transfer rule). However, the administration confirmed that Euton had relocated to Georgetown with a "bonifide" change of address before enrolling at the high school.
The Eutons will appeal immediately by letter to the KHSAA, which will be turned over to a hearing officer and ultimately the board of control.
Chad Jackson, Euton's teammate at Rose Hill, has been ruled eligible at Scott County despite enrolling after Euton.
Both Euton and Jackson are already playing summer ball for Scott County and will participate in the state AAU tournament later this week.
