Lexington Catholic names soccer, girls' golf coaches

Lexington Catholic announced today the addition of two new coaches to its athletic programs:

Greg Hilvers-Men’s Soccer

Lexington Catholic High School is pleased to announce that Greg Hilvers has been hired as head coach for men’s soccer for the 2008-09 season. Mr. Hilvers has been teaching at Lexington Catholic for the past 6 years and has been assistant men’s varsity coach, head men’s junior varsity coach (since 2006), and goalkeeper coach for both the women’s and men’s soccer programs.

Mr. Hilvers earned NSCAA All-American status while playing soccer for the University of Charleston, West Virginia, and brings over 20 years of experience in playing and coaching to Lexington Catholic. Previously, Mr. Hilvers spent 8 years coaching in the Lexington Futbol Club and was an assistant varsity coach at Lafayette High School for 3 years.

Diana Hendrix-Women’s Golf

Lexington Catholic High School is pleased to announce Diana Hendrix as head coach for women’s golf for the 2008-09 season. Mrs. Hendrix has taught for the last 24 years in the Fayette County Public Schools and has been an avid golfer for the past 25 years. She has played in many local tournaments including the Lexington Women’s City Championship and has participated in Lexington inter-club events.
