NEW YORK (AP) - Former Rose Hill Christian Academy star O.J. Mayo's stay in Minnesota didn't last very long.
Mayo was selected third in yesterday's NBA draft by the
Minnesota Timberwolves, but within hours he was traded to Memphis
as part of an eight-player deal.
The Grizzlies have confirmed the deal.
During his senior year at Huntington High School, Mayo led the
team to its third straight Class AAA championship title and was
named West Virginia's boys basketball player of the year.
Mayo decided to make the move to professional basketball after
playing one year at Southern California.
