Johnson inks first pro contract

The Buffalo Bills today announced the signing the fifth of their 10 draft picks, former UK receiver Steve Johnson.

Johnson was the teams' second of three seventh-round draft selections (224th overall). Terms of the deal were not announced.

He became the fourth player in Kentucky history to gain more than 1,000 yards receiving in a season with 1,041 his senior year and was named the team's Most Improved Offensive Player by the coaching staff. He also had 13 touchdown catches, one short of the school-season record.
