Former UK guard Ramel Bradley will play summer league basketball with the New Jersey Nets.
“I worked out for them once and they liked me, so they invited me to come back and I worked out. They said they wanted me to play summer league with them,” Bradley said on Tuesday, in an interview with 27 SportsFirst.
Bradley and the Nets summer league team will participate in the NBA’s Rocky Mountain Revue, which will be held on the Redwood Campus of Salt Lake City Community College, from July 18-25.
The Brooklyn native said he’s still pursuing a career in music – Bradley released a rap CD this past April, following UK’s season.
But his first love is, and always will be, basketball, Bradley said. If he can’t catch on with an NBA team, Bradley says he will try to play professionally overseas.
