The Eastern Kentucky University Athletics Hall of Fame will enshrine its third induction class, featuring nine distinguished individuals, during an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, September 13, in EKU’s Perkins Building.
The 2008 induction class includes: Angie Cox Blevins (women’s basketball); Jonelle Csora (softball); Rose Gilmore-Skepple (track & field); John Jackson (football); Charles Mrazovich (men’s basketball); Martha Mullins (administrator); Markus Thomas (football); Fred Troike (football); and Bobby Washington (men’s basketball).
Saturday’s activities begin with an 11:30 a.m. reception in the Perkins lobby, followed by a 12 p.m. lunch in the Perkins quads. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. The group will also be recognized just prior to the Colonel football game against Morehead State at 6 p.m. that evening.
Tickets for the lunch and ceremony are $25 and can be purchased by calling the Colonel Club office, 859-622-2046. The deadline for registration is Friday, September 5. Tickets will not be sold at the event.
