Luke Kruytbosch, Churchill Announcer Dies

An announcer for several Kentucky horse
racing tracks has died.
Vanderburgh County, Ind., Coroner Don Erk says 47-year-old Luke
Kruytbosch was found by friends Monday morning in his
Evansville apartment.
Kruytbosch had been working at Ellis Park Race Course's summer
meet in Henderson, Ky., just across the Ohio River.
Erk says Kruytbosch appears to have died of cardiac-related
natural causes. The coroner says Kruytbosch's friends say
Kruytbosch had not felt well and had been to a doctor recently.
Churchill Downs spokesman Darren Rogers says Kruytbosch also
called races at Churchill, Kentucky Downs in Franklin and Turf
Paradise in Arizona, and previously worked at Hollywood Park in
California.
