SPARTA, Ky. (AP) - IndyCar series leader Scott Dixon will start
in a familiar spot during Saturday's Meijer Indy 300 at Kentucky
The current Indy 500 champion will be on the pole for the race
on the 1.5-mile oval. It's the fifth pole Dixon has earned this
season. He's won three times this year when he's started at the
Vitor Meira will start alongside Dixon in the first row.
Saturday's race will be Meira's 90th career IndyCar start, and he's
still searching for his first victory.
Helio Castroneves, who is second behind Dixon in the season
points race, will start sixth.
Sarah Fisher, who set the track record in 2002, will start 16th
in her first start since the Indy 500.
Danica Patrick will start in the last row after missing
qualifying due to car damage suffered during practice.
