LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky guard Jodie Meeks says he's
finally healthy and eager to regain some of the form he flashed
during his freshman year with the Wildcats.
Meeks missed 20 games during a frustrating sophomore season a
year ago. He sat out six games early in the year with a stress
fracture in his pelvis. He came back only to go out again with a
strained hip flexor.
The injuries gave him a nice view from the bench as Kentucky
surged to an 18-13 record, including a 12-4 mark in the
Southeastern Conference under first-year coach Billy Gillispie.
Meeks said he's 100 percent for the first time in a year, and the
Wildcats will need him to shine if they want to make another run at
the SEC title.
