Titans rookie running back Rafael Little will have a chance to become activated to the practice squad this week.
Little, who signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent this past offseason, has yet to practice with the team after spending the first six weeks of the season on the reserve/non-football injury list. Little suffered an ACL injury during preparations for the Senior Bowl.
The Titans now have a three week period to activate him from the reserve/non-football injury list or choose to release the former Kentucky Wildcat.
Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher said the team would wait later during the three week time frame to determine whether to activate Little.
''We'll probably wait a little longer during this three week period'' Fisher said. ''You have three weeks to request for the roster exemption. Then, you have another three weeks to let him practice and then make the decision. We don't want to jump the gun.
''The more time we give him between now and that decision, the better off he's going to be. He is improving. He's looks much, much better than he has even six weeks ago on the field. He will be on the practice field at some point and then we'll make a decision at the end of that period.''
Little played in 39 games for the Wildcats and recorded 2,996 rushing yards and 854 punt return yards.
