CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) - Allan Holland completed 31 of 41
passes for 306 yards and two touchdowns to lead Eastern Kentucky to
a 29-16 win against Southeast Missouri on Saturday.
Stephen Sizemore caught 12 passes for 85 yards and a touchdown,
Stephon Fuqua caught eight for 104 yards and C.J. Walker rushed for
90 yards and a touchdown for the Colonels (6-3, 5-1 Ohio Valley).
Walter Peoples had a career-high 154 yards receiving on eight
catches for Southeast Missouri (3-6, 1-4) and Timmy Holloman rushed
for 107 yards and a touchdown. Redhawks quarterback Houston Lillard
completed just 10 of 17 passes for 177 yard and threw four
Eastern Kentucky scored in the first five minutes of the game on
Walker's 37-yard touchdown run, the longest rushing play of the
season for the Colonels.
Southeast Missouri answered with 16 straights points. Doug Spada
made field goals of 47, 33, and 24 yards, and Holloman rushed for a
9-yard touchdown to put the Redhawks ahead 16-7.
But Eastern Kentucky dominated the rest of the game. Holland
threw touchdown passes to Sizemore (14 yards) and Cody Watts (22
yards), and Jeremy Caldwell scored on a 66-yard interception return
and the Colonels scored a two-point conversion.
