DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Josh Young scored 34 points and Drake
shot 63 percent from the field in the second half to beat Morehead
State 86-70 on Wednesday.
Young was 7-for-11 from 3-point range for the Bulldogs (1-1),
who trailed 39-35 at the half. But Drake made 12 of its first 17
shots after the break, and outscored the Eagles 51-31 in the second
half.
Bill Eaddy had 17 points and Jonathan Cox added 10 for Drake.
The Bulldogs made 15 of 27 3-point shots and 14 of 15 free throws.
Morehead State (0-3) got 26 points and eight rebounds from Maze
Stallworth. Leon Buchanan added 13 points and Kenneth Faried
chipped in 10.
Each team finished with 31 rebounds.
