Cobb returns to Knoxville as UK quarterback

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky freshman quarterback Randall Cobb
says he won't have revenge on his mind when he leads the Wildcats
against Tennessee on Saturday.
A native of Alcoa, Tenn., near Knoxville, Cobb wasn't heavily
recruited by the Volunteers. At Kentucky he made an immediate
impact, first as a receiver and now as starting quarterback in a
retooled spread offense. Cobb has thrown for 519 yards and two
touchdowns and rushed for 294 yards and seven touchdowns.
Coach Rich Brooks said he doesn't think Cobb will be caught up
in the emotion of playing back home.
Brooks said he is preparing the Wildcats (6-5, 2-5 Southeastern
Conference) this week for what he expects to be a fired up
Tennessee (4-7, 2-5) team looking to give outgoing 17-year head
coach Phil Fulmer one last win.
Kentucky will be without key players on defense including
defensive end Jeremy Jarmon and defensive tackle Ricky Lumpkin.
