Breathitt County Falls In 3A Title Game

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Chance Hughes rushed for 169 yards and
two touchdowns and Chris King passed for one touchdown and ran for
another as Central won its second straight Class 3A state
championship.
The Yellowjackets beat Breathitt County 40-19 in the KHSAA state
finals Friday in front of 3,917 fans at Papa John's Cardinal
Stadium.
Hughes scored on TD runs of 18 and 31 yards to lead Central
(11-3), which rolled up 323 rushing yards. Meanwhile, King
completed a 65-yard touchdown pass and scored on an 11-yard scamper
for the Yellowjackets, who overcame six fumbles, losing two.
Channing Fugate, who led 3A in rushing and scoring during the
regular season, ran for 133 yards and one TD on 18 carries for the
Bobcats (12-2).
