Former Wildcat Lorenzen set to join Horsemen

The Round Mound of Touchdown will again be suiting up here in Lexington. Jared Lorenzen, who threw for more than 10,000 yards and 78 touchdowns during his career with UK, is joining the Lexington Horsemen. The official announcement will come on Tuesday in an afternoon news conference.

Lorenzen went undrafted coming out of Kentucky in 2004, but joined the New York Giants, where he was a backup quarterback on the Giants' Super Bowl winning team in 2008.

Coach Mike Harmon also will release the Horsemen roster during the media briefing.

The Kentucky Horsemen play in Arena Football 2 and begin their season on March 29.
