Kentucky Needing Late Season Run

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie says
finding a third reliable scorer behind Jodie Meeks and Patrick
Patterson remains a "crapshoot."
With just two regular-season games left to bolster the team's
NCAA tournament case, Gillispie is eager for somebody else to step
up. He's not ruling out that somebody could turn out to be a
surprise contributor, such as the team's lone senior, Jared Carter.
Carter will likely start for the Wildcats Wednesday against
Georgia in his final home game. It has been a frustrating Kentucky
career for the once-promising prospect who has received little
playing time, in part due to multiple injuries.
Gillispie says Carter has been a solid presence on the practice
court, even though that has seldom transferred to game days.
