Iroquois knocks out Montgomery Co.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Iroquois has come away with a 46-37
victory over Montgomery County in the first quarterfinal game of
the KHSAA Girls Sweet Sixteen Basketball Tournament.
Adia Mathies led Iroquois with 14 points. Mackenzie Lee and
Kayla Webb led the Lady Indians with 11 points each.
Carmen Talbott scored 10 for Iroquois in the first half, helping
the Lady Raiders to a 27-24 halftime lead.
The Lady Indians (28-4) opened the third quarter with an
offensive surge that got them a 43-37 lead. Iroquois countered with
a full court press that forced Montgomery County into eight
second-half turnovers.
The Lady Raiders' (31-1) starter Stafonia Taylor left the game
with an ankle injury 1:32 into the first quarter and did not
return.
