ALBANY, N.Y. - New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning finally has signed the six-year extension that will make him the NFL's highest-paid player with an average salary of roughly $15.3 million.

The Giants announced the signing this morning after spending more than a week completing the deal that will keep Manning with the team through the 2015 season.

Manning is guaranteed $35 million under terms of the $97 million extension. News of the deal first broke on Aug. 5.
