Elliott Leads Cats Past Ball State

MUNCIE, Ind. - Junior Kentucky center Sarah Elliott scored 14 of her team-high 18 points in the second half Monday as the Wildcats held off Ball State 85-82 in Worthen Arena in the WNIT Second Round.

Kentucky (20-13) has now eclipsed the 20-win plateau for the second consecutive season and the 10th time in school history. The Wildcats have posted back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time since 1989-90 and 1990-91.

Kentucky returns to action Thursday when it travels to Madison, Wisc., to face Wisconsin. Game time in the Kohl Center is to be determined. The game will be carried live on the Big Blue Sports Network (radio) with Neil Price.
