UK middle linebacker Micah Johnson suffered what is beleived to be an MCL strain last night against Louisiana-Monroe. Coach Rich Brooks said Sunday afternoon that Johnson will undergo an MRI Monday morning and he should know more in 24-48 hours.
Brooks indicated he didn't believe it's a serious MCL injury. He said Johnson was walking today without crutches and he's hopeful it's not any worse than the MCL suffered by Derrick Locke against Auburn. Locke was able to play in Kentucky's 36-13 victory over Louisiana-Monroe Saturday.
Johnson was hurt making a tackle in the first quarter against ULM. He walked off the field, left for the locker room and never returned to the game.
