Cats want to hold workout in Freedom Hall

27 SportsFirst has learned that UK coach John Calipari hopes to practice his first Wildcats team in Louisville's Freedom Hall on Sunday.

UK's DeWayne Peevy would neither confirm nor deny that UK will workout at Freedom Hall. Officials at Freedom Hall say they've heard from UK, but no practice times have been finalized.

Sources say Calipari and his Cats will hit the hardwood sometime after 6:00 p.m. The Louisville women play an exhibition game Sunday afternoon at 2.

Freedom Hall officials would neither confirm nor deny that if the Cats practice there, Big Blue fans would be allowed to watch.

UK has had a longstanding tradition of holding an open practice the day before their annual game in Louisville. The Cats will host UNC Ashville in Freedom Hall on November 30.
