Former Wildcat Named NBA Coach of the Month

MIAMI (AP) - Miami Heat coach Pat Riley has been named the
N-B-A's Eastern Conference coach of the month for March, the
record-setting eleventh time he's won the award.
No other coach has been honored more than nine times. San
Antonio's Gregg Popovich was the Western Conference recipient for
Riley led the Heat to an 11-to-four record in March, the best
mark in the conference - despite being without leading scorer
Dwyane Wade for all 15 games.
It's the fifth time Riley won the award with the Heat, joining
December 1996, February 1998, December 2000 and February 2006. He
also received N-B-A honors five times while leading the Los Angeles
Lakers and once with the New York Knicks.
