Gillispie Has Help

It appears that Billy Gillispie has made up his mind on at least one assistant coach.

Jeremy Cox is working on UK's behalf with two high school recruits. Cox was on Gillispie's staff at Texas A&M and spent the previous three seasons at Arkansas-Fort Smith.

While he was there, the school won the National Junior College Athletic Association Mens Basketball Title and was national JuCo coach of the year.

Cox contacted Clark County about Preston Knowles Sunday night, and according to our sources has been in touch with Mason County's Darius Miller as well.

I am certainly super pleased with our new coach as he appears to be a class act and probably a better choice than Billy D, I dont know if he is a christian or not but he sure acts like one. That was one of the good things about Tubby, he was one and he acted it. I certainly wish him well at his new spot and GO BIG BLUE.

They will both do a terrific job - they are willing to put in literally twenty four hour days to get the job done and you cant put more pressure than they put on themselves.

Whose history is Ed from North Carolina referring to? Does he think this NC's best shot at overtaking UK in the overall stats, due to the need for a lengthy re-building process, or does he foresee UK extending their lead due to a "miraculous turn-around" of a program that only needed a bit of fine tuning with a couple of player/position changes?

Billy Gillispie has finaly done it, he has brought back to UK what Tubby could never do, that is bring in the great Bluegrass players into our program. It is so great to see that UK Basketball has finally gotten a head coach than can recruit instead of worrying about his "good-guy" image.

Glad to have Coach Billy G. on board. Looks like a very good fit for the CATS. Need to harness as much of the kentucky talent as possible. We don't need our boys beating us.

i think that uk new coach should hire Reggie Hansion as returning assitent coach . Because he stayed as a player when everybody else left.

I had to look in the dictionary for the definition of a word that was used in the bulletin that is unfamiliar to me as a Wildcat fan.. The word is recruit.

A coach is what surrounds him. Get a good staff and supporting cast.

Definitle need to offer Pettigrew a place on this team. Also Knowles, though it looks like Louisville may have landed him already.

I think that Coach Gillispie should go after Stephon Pettigrew of E -Town, he is one awesome player, he is the OJ Mayo of this State by far.

I believe the CATS needs a recuiter because someone has been doing a lousy job. Recuit a guard who can at least make foul shots. PLEASE

I know for a fact that Preston Knowles is a solid guard from Clark County. I'm glad he's looking for local talent
