Wall out, so Bledsoe gets the start against MSU

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky freshman Eric Bledsoe is eager to
prove John Wall isn't the only talented freshman point guard on the
fourth-ranked Wildcats.
Bledsoe will get the start on Friday when Kentucky opens the
season against Morehead State at Rupp Arena. Wall must sit out as
part of an NCAA suspension for accepting improper benefits from his
AAU coach.
Bledsoe has been hampered recently with an ankle injury, but
coach John Calipari said Bledsoe is "fast and getting faster" in
practice for the Wildcats. While much of the preseason attention
has centered on Wall, Bledsoe's teammates insist there isn't much
of a dropoff when Bledsoe takes the floor.
Wall is expected to return on Monday when the Wildcats play
Miami University.
