UK quarterback Mike Hartline uderwent arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday on his left knee, but the procedure didn't reveal any damage to the cartilage.

Rich Brooks, on his Twitter account, said Hartline has a bone bruise and will be on crutches for three weeks.

Hartline injured the knee after taking a hit against South Carolina. The junior missed four games, but returned this past Saturday against Vanderbilt.

Hartline is expected to return to practice in late December and be available for any bowl game.
