Frankfort, KY (04-30-07) – Kentucky State University Golf Team has been accepted to compete in the 2007 PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship. The tournament will be held from May 10-14, 2007 at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

The field will consist of (9) Division II Men’s Teams; (13) Division I Men Teams; (4) Division II Women’s Teams; (3) Men’s NAIA Division Teams and (24) Independent Men Players and (12) Independent Women Players.

KSU’s roster includes; Patrick Lawrence a sophomore from Chicago, IL, James Andersen a junior from Frankfort, KY, Nicholas Morrow a freshman from Damariscotta, ME, and Marcus Pipes a freshman from Louisville, KY.

Kentucky State University won the Division II Men’s Team Championship in 1998 and 2000 and finished second in 1999, 2001 and 2002.
