Holsopple Leaving For Florida

UK basketball strength coach Scott Holsopple is leaving to accept a job at the University of Florida according to sources. Holsopple , brought in last year by Coach Tubby Smith will work as a strength coach with the Gator football team.

Holsopple came to UK after six seasons at Marquette where he was in charge of strength and conditioning for all 14 of the school's athletic programs. Prior to that he was the strength and conditioning assistant at hsi alma mater, Penn State.

A source said Holsopple's departure was not related to the recent UK coaching change but the move was seen as a good opportunity for him.
