Borel Honored in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky Derby winning jockey Calvin
Borel won't win the Triple Crown this year, but his place in
history is literally in cement.
Borel was inducted this afternoon into the "Gallop of Glory,"
a shrine outside downtown Louisville's historic Galt House Hotel.
Borel made his handprints in a cement rectangle which will join the
handprints of Derby winners, including Pat Day, Edgar Prado and
Steve Cauthen, the last Triple Crown winner.
Despite coming in second, by a nose, in last weekend's Preakness
Stakes, Borel says the last two weeks have been unbelievable. Borel
says his Derby mount, "Street Sense," is the best horse he's ever
been on in his life. He also says he doesn't know yet if Street
Sense will run in the Belmont, the final leg of the Triple Crown.
