Somerset Falls In 3A State Championship

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Dshon Jackson recovered two fumbles
and returned an interception for a touchdown to help Paducah
Tilghman to the Kentucky 3A State title in a 21-0 victory over
Somerset.
The Blue Tornado (9-6) won the game primarily on the defensive
end early on, forcing six Briar Jumper (14-1) turnovers in the
first half and holding a 7-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Paducah Tilghman used a 48-yard touchdown
pass from Kristen Jackson to Jadar Harmon with 15 seconds left in
the third quarter and a 31-yard touchdown run by Jackson with 6:33
left in the fourth quarter to pad their lead and clinch their first
state championship since 1985.
