LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Louisville coach Rick Pitino says he's
not ready to panic even though the Cardinals have lost three of
their last four games.
Pitino said Tuesday he's disappointed but not disheartened in
Louisville's slide, which includes consecutive home losses to
Charlotte and Western Carolina.
The coach blamed his team's struggles on a lack of effort on the
defensive end and an inability to work together on offense.
Louisville has also had trouble keeping teams from knocking down
3-pointers. Western Carolina poured in 10 3-pointers in a 91-83 win
on Saturday.
The Cardinals (5-3) will need to get better quickly. They face
Oral Roberts (6-5) on Wednesday night. The Golden Eagles have
already beaten Stanford and Missouri this season.
