Murray State Rifle Coach Hicks Takes Position at Nebraska

MURRAY, Ky. (AP) - Murray State rifle coach Morgan Hicks has accepted the position of rifle head coach at the University of Nebraska.

Hicks was the head coach at Murray State last season and served as an assistant coach for the two previous seasons. Hicks is a 2004 graduate of M-S-U and a four-year Racer shooter. She was also a coach with the civilian marksmanship program.

Hicks competed in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece, and hopes to compete in the 2008 Games in Beijing, China. She also competed in the World Championships in Zagreb, Yugoslavia (2006), and was a four-time competitor in the Junior Olympics, winning the 2001 smallbore championship.
