Kentucky's Woodson named to Maxwell Award Watch list

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Louisville quarterback Brian Brohm isn't the only signal caller in the state expected to produce big results this year.

UK quarterback Andre Woodson is one of 65 players named to the preseason watch list for the Maxwell Award, given annually to the best player in college football.

Woodson threw for over 35-hundred yards and 31 touchdowns last season for the Wildcats, leading the S-E-C in both categories. He was named second-team All-S-E-C and has thrown a school record 162 consecutive passes without an interception.

UK went eight-and-five last season and won the Music City Bowl, the Cats first bowl win in 22 years.
