CINCINNATI (AP) - San Francisco slugger Barry Bonds had the day off and didn't get a chance to add to his home run total.

After Tuesday's game, he stands at 751, just four short of Hank Aaron's record.

Fred Lewis hit a grand slam yesterday to help slumping starter Matt Cain earn his first win since May 13th with a nine-to-five victory over the Reds in Cincinnati.

Ray Durham, Mark Sweeney and Rich Aurilia also hit homers for the Giants.

Ken Griffey Junior singled home two runs for the Reds, who suffered their first loss under interim manager Pete Mackanin. The Reds have not won a series since they took two of three from Cleveland from June eighth through tenth.
