Legends' Van Ostrand Homers In Futures Game

The World beat Team USA 7-2 in the 2007 Futures Game on Sunday afternoon at AT&T Park. Legends leftfielder Jimmy Van Ostrand played a big role in the five run win with a solo home run to left field in the seventh inning. Van Ostrand also made one putout while playing left field.
Van Ostrand is the only Legend to play in a Futures Game. Former Legend JR Towles also participated but was hitless in one at-bat.
Van Ostrand returns to Lexington for Wednesday’s series opener against the Greensboro Grasshoppers.
