PIKEVILLE, Ky. (AP) - East Kentucky's professional basketball franchise is taking shape.
The East Kentucky Miners will hold their inaugural free agent camps August Fourth and Fifth at the Pikeville College Gym.
Players aspiring to get a shot at the CBA team can pay a registration fee to work out on one or both days.
Head coach Kevin Keathley says the team wants to give Kentucky players the first opportunity to make the team. He says having the free agent camps in Pikeville gives all the local talent a chance to be a part of the franchise.
