Lexington Catholic announces agreement with FCPS

Lexington Catholic put out an email to parents Tuesday stating that an agreement has been reached with Fayette County Public Schools to resume athletic competition with the 2010-2011 school year.
Fayette County Schools longed claimed Lexington Catholic held an unfair advantage.
The email put out by LCHS President Dr. Steve Angelucci said that after several months of discussions and negotiations an agreement was reached.
Angelucci expressed his appreciation to Fayette County Public Schools Superintendat Stu SIlberman, Don Adkins, Athletics Director and Mike McKenzie, FCPS Director-High Schools, for what he called their patient, fair approach to the process.
Outside of district and regional competition, Fayette County Schools had agreed to not schedule Lexington Catholic teams during the regular season.
