Pollack Out For Season

There's plenty of optimism around the Cincinnati Bengals camp for the new season. But, any on-the-field success will likely not include linebacker David Pollack. The Bengals say Pollack is expected to miss the 2007 season as a result of a neck frature suffered back in September against the Cleveland Browns.
"David and the team agree that he is not physically ready to play this season," Head Coach Marvis Lewis said. "He is working extremely hard and will continue focusing his efforts on rehabilitating with our medical staff."
Pollack underwent surgery to repair the fracture, but his recovery is still on-going. He says a final decision on a comeback attempt will not be made until sometime down the road.
"I'm grateful for my recovery at this point and am working everyday to get my full strengh back," Pollack said.
The former University of Georgia Bulldog was the Bengals first round draft pick in 2005. He played in 14 games with five starts as a rookie.
