Forward Victoria Dunlap scored 16 points
and guard A'dia Mathies added 10 points and No. 16 Kentucky
finished the regular season unbeaten at home with a 71-50 win over
South Carolina on Sunday.
The Gamecocks fell behind by 16 at the half, and never
threatened in the second half as Kentucky (23-4, 11-3 Southeastern
Conference) dominated in front of 7,742 at Memorial Coliseum, the
sixth-largest crowd in school history.
South Carolina (13-13, 6-7) shot 32 percent from the floor.
Senior forward Lydia Watkins, who gave birth to a son in the
offseason, had 10 points.
Guard Valerie Nainima, who leads South Carolina in scoring at
17.5 points a game, was held to a season-low four points as the
Gamecocks dropped their third straight game.
