WINDSOR, ONTARIO (AP) - WKU sprinter Gavin Smellie made a big splash in his home country over the weekend.
Smellie finished second in the 200-meter dash at the Canadian Track and Field Championships. He covered the distance in 20-point-7-5 seconds in finishing second to two-time NCAA All-American Jonathan Brown.
Smellie's performance was good enough to qualify him for the World University Games next month in Thailand.
