RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) - B.J. Jenkins and Isaiah Canaan scored 22
points apiece to lead Murray State to an 88-74 win over Eastern
Kentucky on Saturday night.
The Racers (27-4, 17-1 Ohio Valley Conference) shot 61.7 percent
from the field (29-for-47), including 64.7 percent from 3-point
range (11-for-17). Murray State swept the season series against
Eastern Kentucky, having beaten them 62-60 on Dec. 3.
Murray State led 37-26 at halftime, and an 11-4 run gave the
Racers a 48-30 advantage with 16:01 to play for their largest lead
of the game.
Ivan Aska chipped in with 15 points and seven rebounds for the
Justin Stommes scored 15 points to lead the Colonels (20-11,
11-7), while Joshua Jones and Josh Daniel scored 12 each.
Murray State outrebounded the Colonels 40-23 and outscored
Eastern Kentucky 36-14 in the paint.
