Kansas is the unanimous No. 1 in The Associated Press' final
men's basketball poll of the season.
The Jayhawks were on top of the poll for the 15th week Monday,
matching the most time at the top since Duke went wire to wire in
1991-92.
The overall No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament, Kansas received
all the first-place votes from the 65-member national media panel.
Kentucky, Duke and Syracuse, the other No. 1 seeds, are second,
third and fourth.
Ohio State is fifth followed by West Virginia, Kansas State, New
Mexico, Villanova and Purdue.
The other teams to be ranked No. 1 this season were Texas,
Kentucky and Syracuse.
A record 53 teams were ranked during the season, four more than
2007-08.
Kansas, Kentucky, Villanova and Duke were the only teams to be
ranked in the top 10 all season.
