Fans wanting a first-hand look at the Joe Craft Center have two upcoming opportunities. Kentucky Athletics is hosting an ‘open house’ of the Craft Center, Friday, Aug. 10 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 11 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

The Craft Center, UK’s $30 million expansion of Memorial Coliseum that houses practice facilities for both Wildcat basketball programs, opened earlier this year. It is named after Joe Craft, a UK alum and Hazard native who contributed $6 million to its construction.

Those wishing to attend the open house should enter on the north side of Memorial Coliseum. Parking will be available in the lots north and west of the facility, adjoining Lexington Avenue. Basketball practice courts, locker rooms, meeting rooms and weight and training rooms will all be on public display.
