EKU Golfer Hendrickson Wins Kentucky Open

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - EKU golfer Philip Hendrickson joined some exclusive company when he won yesterday's Kentucky Open.

The victory made Hendrickson just the third golfer to win both the Open and the Kentucky State Amateur. P-G-A Tour players Jodie Mudd and J.B. Holmes have also accomplished the feat.

Hendrickson finished with a three-round total of 3-over-par to beat Grover Justice by one stroke at Hurstborne Country Club.

Hendrickson pulled out the victory on the back nine, shooting two-under over the final holes to win. He called the victory a dream come true.
