LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky football coach Rich Brooks has announced that sophomore linebacker Mikhail Mabry will be out indefinitely.

A release from the university's athletic department says Mabry broke his thumb yesterday by jamming it on another player's knee during a drill.

He will undergo surgery today.

Mabry was working with the second team at middle linebacker. He played in seven games as a freshman and made five tackles.
