UK Basketball to Conduct Women's Clinic

LEXINGTON -- Kentucky men’s basketball has scheduled “UK Basketball 101: A Clinic for Women,” Thursday, September 20, from 6-9 p.m. at Memorial Coliseum/Joe Craft Center. The clinic is designed for women with all levels of basketball knowledge. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with and meet Kentucky head coach Billy Gillispie and his staff.

Registration is $50 and runs from 5-6 p.m. at the front entrance to Memorial Coliseum (facing the Avenue of Champions). Parking is available in the “E” lot between Lexington Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive.

Scheduled presentations include current basketball players discussing “a day in the life of a Wildcat,” behind-the-scenes looks at UK video, weight and sports medicine, a visit with Bill Keightley and a Q&A with Gillispie.

The cost of $50, which includes a UK Basketball t-shirt, a notebook, an autographed picture of Billy Gillispie, snacks, drinks and a chance to win door prizes. Participants will also have the opportunity to tour the Joe Craft Center, the $30 million practice facility where the Wildcats train.
