Wizards will select Wall

Washington Wizards owner Ted Leonsis was asked on Thursday if his team would select former Kentucky guard John Wall with the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft.

Leonsis told the Washington Post he was "not allowed" to make a comment.

"It's good theater for the NBA to have people wondering what we're going to do," Leonsis told Michael Lee, the Wizards beat writer for the Post.

But David Falk, agent for Ohio State junior Evan Turner, said his client would not participate in a scheduled workout with the Wizards. Instead, Turner will work out for the 76ers, the team that holds the second pick.

That has led to speculation that Wall will be the first pick in the draft.

Wizards coach Flip Saunders recently said Wall could "revolutionize the position."

Wall now is the only player scheduled for a workout with the Wizards.
