Prognosis of Bills' Everett Drastically Improves

Neurosurgeon says Bills' Kevin Everett could walk again

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - There's great news regarding injured Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett. He voluntarily moved his arms and legs today, prompting a neurosurgeon to say Everett could walk again.

That's contrary to the grim prognosis given a day before.

Dr. Barth Green, chairman of the department of neurological surgery at the University of Miami school of medicine who has been consulting with doctors in the case, calls the movement "totally spectacular" news.

Everett sustained a life-threatening spinal cord injury Sunday after ducking his head while making a tackle on the second-half kickoff of the Bills' season opener.

Dr. Green says it's "feasible" Everett could lead a normal life.
