LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A buyer has paid almost four million dollars for a colt by "Unbridled's Song," topping the second day of Keeneland's September Yearling Sale.
Demi O'Byrne, representing John Magnier and Coolmore Stud, made
the winning bid of $3.7 million and purchased another Unbridled's Song Colt for $2.6 million yesterday.
For the day, Keeneland sold 166 horses for nearly $78 million. That's down almost 18 percent from the corresponding session in 2006 when 161 horses brought almost $95 million.
The session had 19 yearlings that brought bids of at least a million dollars.
The sale runs through September 25th.
