Alumni basketball games raise more than $300,000

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Former Kentucky players past and present gathered at Rupp Arena on Saturday to celebrate Wildcat tradition with a couple of alumni games. It was all part of coach John Calipari's Fantasy Experience.

More than 10,000 fans showed up for a day of basketball, which included members of the 1996 national championship team and current NBA Wildcats.

Calipari's fantasy camp raised more than $300,000 for charity.

The highlight of the day was the game featuring UK's pro players. Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins led all scorers with 42 points. Cousins started the game off by hitting five straight three-point shots for the white team.

Teammate Anthony Davis scored 40 points and the white team won, 121-93.

Bobcats forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored 32 points for the blue team. Former Wildcats Derek Anderson and Wayne Turner each added 20 points for the blue team.
